What Our Visitors Say About Us

From Trip Advisor May 2022

"I’ll try to be brief, but I could write about every detail we learnt during our visit to the mine yesterday.

As we are early season visitors we had a personal guide who showed us around the whole of the museum. He left us for about half an hour so that we could explore, read and understand for ourselves but I think we needed longer there was so much to see and even try out.

We have decided that we’re going to have to return at some point in the future as we know that there’s loads more to learn. We arrived at midday and left at three, and we didn’t even get to sample the delights of the on-site tea shop. Whatever time you allow for the visit add an hour, you’ll need it and you won’t be disappointed."

"A hidden gem
We visited the King Edward Mine Museum after picking up a leaflet. We have been coming to Cornwall for nearly 30 years and had never heard of it before.  It is run entirely by volunteers and what a fantastic job they do!
The guide's are all very knowledgeable and obviously care about what they are doing, this comes through on the tour.
The exhibits are really interesting and most are demonstrated during the tour. "
"Pure History
King Edward Mine Museum is a fascinating insight into the history of Cornish Mining. It has one of the best collections of mining gear including some working Stamps. Staff are friendly and the tour is very informative. On site cafe serves good food."
