Ade in Brittain

Camborne Town Band and King Edward Mine featured in new TV series Nov 2011

Camborne Town Band and 'Ade in Britain' saw Adrian Edmondson follow up his appearance in hit ITV1’s The Dales with his own series in which Ade drives to a different part of Britain, towing his mobile kitchen behind him, meeting the people responsible for the local food, drink and traditions that make each area so distinct.

One episode took him to Cornwall where he learnt how to make a controversial Cornish pasty, got out in the countryside to build a traditional hedge, and donned a bee-keeping suit to learn about honey.

Ade then visited King Edward Mine after a full days filming in Cornwall. The Camborne Brass Band played a programme of music whilst Ade made a Stargazey Pie

The ITV Company who did the filming required a mining atmosphere and back drop to set the scene. The Old Stamps Engine House at King Edward Mine gave the Band a true Cornish backdrop.

The Series started on Monday 7th Nov at 4.00 pm and the Cornwall show was on air on Tuesday 15th of November 2011.
